Jute Coffee Bag | Fabric sack made of jute and used for shipping coffee beans. Jute coffee bags generally have coffee company logos on them and make interesting craft items, such as throw pillows, re-useable grocery bags, wall hangings, and linings for baskets. Used sacks retain the aroma of the coffee beans, along with a distinctive jute aroma; many people find this delightful, but if it can be washed away if a scent is not wanted. Jute Fabric | A fabric woven with fiber obtained from two Asian plants which are members of the linden family; also called burlap fabric. Jute fabric is an environmentally friendly fiber which is biodegradable and has a distinct smell when woven into fabric. It is used to make twine as well as burlap. Burlap is widely used for horticultural, agricultural, and industrial purposes. It is spread around the roots of plants to provide a weed barrier and help conserve moisture; it is ideal for this purpose because the jute fibers will decompose and provide nourishment to the soil. |
Jute Webbing | A closely woven, textured strapping made of natural jute, a biodegradable, environmentally friendly fiber taken from plant of the linden family. Jute webbing is very durable and strong. It is used for woven seats and backs of outdoor furniture and can also be used as a woven seat support system under chair and sofa seat cushions. Jute webbing is available in different widths. A 3 ½ inch width is common and very versatile. This width is available with black or red stripe borders on natural color jute. |
