Sleeveless blouses are one of the top apparel items for summer, and in this tutorial I chose to make one out of challis fabric. To off set the black and white pattern I am using a 7″ lipstick pink zipper to give it some color and contrast.

First, fold the fabric in half. Place the center front pattern piece along the fold line and pin around the pattern.
Unfold the front piece and place the back pieces on top of the front. The right sides should be facing each other. Make sure the shoulders and sides line up correctly. Pin the sides and shoulders.
Measure down 8″ from the top of the back. From here on down, pin the back pieces together and make a snip just before the opening.
Stitch with a 1/4″ seam allowance. The first 8″ on the back seam should not be stitched. Stitch the sides and shoulders with a 3/4″ seam allowance. For the shoulders and sides start 1″ in and leave 1″ at the end. Remember to back stitch every time you start and stop sewing.
For the inside seams of the sides and shoulders, fold the fabric over a 1/4″ twice, pin, and stitch along the fold.
Starting with the armhole, fold the fabric over a 1/2″ twice and pin. Stitch along the fold, back stitch at the beginning and the end. Do the same for the other armhole.
