Pillow ticking is a plain-weave fabric traditionally used for mattresses and pillows. Its tight weave prevents filling materials such as down and feathers from poking through its surface. Ticking is also commonly used for upholstery, slipcovers, draperies, and quilting. The unique texture and color of bleached ticking makes it a popular choice for home décor. It is also easy to care for and can be machine washed and dried.
