How to Make a Hair Towel Wrap

Traditional shower towels are really abrasive on your hair. That’s because the piles on the towels act almost like little hooks that pull on the fibers of your hair and make them split and bunch up.

Here’s a super easy to make a towel wrap that will do less damage to your hair and will stay in place.

Instructions

Step 1: Cut the fabric

The pattern indicates what side to put on the fold.

Fold the fabric in half and place the flat 5” side of the template on the fold. Cut the fabric.


Step 2: Sew

With right sides facing, sew around the rounded edges of the hair wrap with a quarter inch seam allowance. Remember to back stitch at the beginning and end.


Step 3: Sew on snaps

Sew the snaps on to the wrap where the pattern indicates. See our How to Sew on Snaps tutorial for details.


Step 4: Wrap

Wrap the towel in your hair.
